I Finally watched (and re-watched) Dnevnoi Dozor (Day Watch). Woot, it was le awesome! I think I still like Nochnoy Dozor better, but ultimately, I think they're meant to be watched together - it certainly makes more sense that way, and the ending makes a nice, circular way of and end rather than feeling anticlimatic.
